Parade: Parallel Tracks

An exhibition of 32 mono-prints and 32 collaborative poems by H L Hix.

At the Baines Wing Gallery, University of Leeds England and the Jan Weiner Gallery Kansas City

The prints where exhibited on specially constructed tables, which arranged groups of four images in an horizontal relationship. The prints were placed in a space normally associated with writing , and the poems displayed on the wall.

Each time the work was shown the arrangement of the work changed. In the Leeds exhibit the poems were placed on the surrounding walls and the prints on tables lined up in parallel rows, the viewer moved back and forth through the table space. In the Jan Weiner exhibit the prints were displayed in a more linear manner, with a poem placed above each print
